Position Overview

Response Labs is looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Solutions Architect. This position requires a deep understanding of email marketing and data management on the Marketing Cloud platform.

This position will lead an email marketing team in the areas of solution design, integration, strategy and execution of customer instances of SFMC. Projects will include new deployments, migrations, and ongoing development and maintenance.

This list of day-to-day responsibilities can change, but here are a few things that you can expect to do from day one:

  • Listen and understand client requests, and devise an appropriate technical solution
  • Work with creative, strategy, account management and sales, on various aspects of client projects
  • Manage the email development process, working with internal staff and customers to ensure expectations are being met for timely, effective, error-free campaigns
  • Manage development and deployment solutions for Email, Landing pages, SMS, Push notifications and other on-platform channels within SFMC
  • Train both client representatives and internal staff on understanding and using SFMC
  • Maintain SFMC certifications and advise team of changes in releases, new product offerings and integrations
  • Provide clear guidance on best practices related to subscriber management, email volume, campaign strategies, and automation techniques.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in SFMC/ExactTarget
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Deep understanding of SFMC tools, including Queries, Data Extensions, JourneyBuilder, Triggered Sends and Automation Studio
  • Deep understanding of the SFMC data model and subscriber management techniques
  • Expert-level capabilities with AMPScript
  • Expert-level understanding of email-specific html/css, cross-client compatibility, responsive email and render troubleshooting
  • Experience with SFMC API integrations (SOAP, REST)
  • Experience using Litmus, Email on Acid and similar email development tools
  • Experience monitoring and managing deliverability and inbox placement services
  • Experience with the Marketing Cloud Connector, and integrating SFMC across other Salesforce products
