Response Labs was founded in January 2014 by three digital marketing veterans: Dan Dawes, Brian Langston, and Jeffrey Rudolf. The three founders have a long history of working together–first at a Baltimore technology startup, then following the acquisition of that startup, at a large, international advertising agency, and then finally as founding partners of Response Labs.

At the onset Response Labs was established with the following goals:

  • Produce high-quality digital marketing with a focus on Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

  • Leverage the latest technology innovations to drive problem solving

  • Create a modern, employee-centric work environment

Hard Working Foods was founded in 2016 as a subsidiary of Response Labs, and proudly produces Dundalk Dan’s Awesome Beef Jerky. The jerky-love began in 2013 when the Dundalk Dan namesake, Dan Dawes, began making jerky in his home in Dundalk, MD. After sampling it around to friends and co-workers he quickly learned that people loved it. The decision was made in early 2016 that Dundalk Dan’s Awesome Beef Jerky would be the next venture for the Response Labs team and we haven’t looked back since.
